Mattie - Cocker Spaniel, Lhasa Apso Mix
Mattie is about 7 - 8 year old lhasa-cocker mix boy who weighs 25 lbs. This very sweet boy loves to play and is very well behaved. He was tied to a tree for six years and was very neglected and when he was rescued he was so matted that we opted to name him Mattie. He gets along well with other dogs, loves to go for walks and rides in the car. Mattie is not ready for adoption at the moment since he is heartworm positive. Mattie needs to be on a leash when walking since he seems to like to chase cars but he is nicely housetrained. Once Mattie is ready to go, he will make someone a very wonderful dog, although he is a bit of a bed hog at night! Mattie is being treated in SW Florida but is willing to travel once he is better.
