Leo - Male Shih Tzu
Leo the Shih Tzu has spent a good deal of time in foster care recuperating from serious food and environmental allergies. He came to STFBR nearly bald and had serious seborrhea and many painful skin lesions, all due to allergies. Now that the things to which he is allergic have been identified and eliminated from his diet, and he is living in an environment that isn't fraught with molds, mildews and other allergens unique to the south, he is one happy boy and has grown a lovely coat. Leo has really come into his own and would make a perfect companion for someone who loves to have a dog always by their side, a truly faithful friend. He loves to take walks as often as you'll take him, dances wildly when he hears the car keys jingle, and wants nothing more than a mom and/or dad to call his VERY OWN. Leo gets along with kids, cats, and other dogs and with a bath twice a week and a strict diet of a good quality fish-based kibble, this wonderful Shih Tzu stays allergy free. Leo the Shih Tzu and is perfectly house trained with excellent manners. Leo has had cataracts that were diagnosed at a young age, but this 8 year old, 17 pound boy gets around just fine. It is guaranteed that he will be your "best friend" - a more faithful and lovable dog could not be found. He needs to remain living in the north.
